Either way, I do think that taken in small samples or shared with a friend that a bottle of Evil Twin Lil’ B would make for a nice Winter warmer. Not that it was a bad thing I don’t guess, but compared to other Imperial Porters that I’ve tried in the past it was a bit too much. The combination of the alcohol and the sweetness made for a long session. In all honesty, it was slightly hard for me to drink. I mean, it was good, but I wasn’t completely blown away by it. A nice and solid dose of character was left on the palate after each sip. The carbonation was of medium/low strength and a decent amount of warmth was felt after the swallow. Overall, it was quite rich, sweet and bold. a little more of the chocolate and more of the cherry savors. The alcohol seemed to be a little strong on the initial intake, yet it calmed somewhat as I took a few more sips and as I started to discover some of the other flavors. ![]() Other than that, I didn’t really find much else. A very light waft of coffee was noticed as well. A medium strength amount booze filled my nostrils and it also had a fragrance of chocolate covered cherries. The smell released hints of sweet chocolate and roasted malts. The retention time was average, but the lacing looked pretty good I thought. The cap was a touch small, although the texture was smooth and creamy. It poured black with a dark tan, khaki colored head.
